Who Made This?
Recognize famous artworks, literary excerpts, and musical compositions by their creators. Three cultural disciplines, one streak
About PlayMemorize Who Made This?
Who Made This? is a creator-recognition game that trains your recall of who painted a canvas, who wrote a passage, and who composed a piece of music. A work is shown and you pick the correct artist, author, or composer from a multiple-choice list.
Three topic pools. Art · identify famous paintings by their creator. Literature · match iconic text excerpts to the author who wrote them. Music · recognise well-known compositions by the composer who wrote them.
Streak format. Each round tests one work. A wrong answer ends the streak. The difficulty knob widens the pool of works, pulling in less-familiar pieces as you climb.
Cross-cultural scope. The catalogue spans centuries and continents · from Renaissance painters to 20th-century novelists, from Baroque composers to jazz legends. All subject names are localised so players see titles in their own language wherever translations exist.
Part of the PlayMemorize family of brain-training games. Runs entirely in your browser, works offline as a Progressive Web App.
FAQ
-
What is Who Made This?
A creator-recognition streak game. The screen shows a painting, a text excerpt, or a musical work, and you pick the correct artist, author, or composer from a list. One wrong answer ends the streak. -
Which topics are available?
Three pools rotate or can be selected individually: Art (famous paintings), Literature (iconic text excerpts), and Music (notable compositions). You can restrict the round pool to one topic or mix all three. -
How does difficulty scale?
Low difficulty draws from the most-recognisable works in the catalogue. Higher difficulty introduces less-familiar pieces and adds more plausible distractors, so the gap between the correct answer and the wrong ones narrows. -
Are the works available in my language?
Subject names and titles are localised across all 25 PlayMemorize languages wherever translations exist. The game UI is fully translated too. -
