What is Pattern Recognition?

A multi-mode abstract reasoning streak game. You complete pattern matrices, identify the item that does not belong, or deduce the hidden rule governing a sequence. One wrong answer ends the streak.

What are the three modes?

Matrix (complete a 3×3 pattern grid), Odd One Out (find the item that breaks the shared property), and Rule Induction (observe transformations and identify the hidden trigger rule).

How is this different from the existing Matrix and Odd One Out games?

The standalone Matrix and Odd One Out games each focus on one mode. Pattern Recognition bundles all three modes together with a topic filter, and adds Rule Induction as a third sub-skill not available elsewhere in the catalogue.

What does fluid intelligence mean?

Fluid intelligence is the capacity to reason about novel patterns without drawing on memorised facts. It is measured by tasks like matrix completion and is considered one of the best predictors of problem-solving ability across domains.
