Volume Estimate
Three boxes, three sizes · judge each one by length, width and height and pick the one that holds the most. Pure volume sense, no reading
About Volume Estimate
Volume Estimate is a compact PlayMemorize mini-game about number sense. Three containers sit on the card · read each one's length, width, and height and pick the box with the largest internal volume.
How a round works. You compare the three boxes, multiply length × width × height in your head, and tap the roomiest one · the exact volume is revealed only after you commit. Feedback is immediate, and a new seeded round keeps the puzzle fresh without sending any state away from your browser.
Still in beta. Volume Estimate was broken out of the Estimation hub into its own game · it is still being tuned, so you will find it in the Beta section of the library.
Age-aware practice. Library links can carry an age band into the game so the opening difficulty fits the player who launched it.
Part of PlayMemorize, a passion project from Christoffer De Geer. It runs in the browser and is designed for short, honest practice rounds.
FAQ
-
What does Volume Estimate train?
Volume Estimate trains volume number sense · judging the capacity of a box from its length, width, and height · through short rounds with immediate feedback. -
How do I find the box that holds the most?
Multiply length by width by height for each container; the box with the largest product has the largest internal volume, and the exact figure is shown once you pick. -
Why is Volume Estimate in beta?
It was just split out of the Estimation hub into a standalone game, so it lives in the Beta section while its difficulty and visuals are finished. -
Why is Volume Estimate excluded from worksheets for now?
The puzzle depends on comparing three rendered 3D containers, and a static paper sheet cannot convey the relative box sizes the player must read to judge which holds the most.
