About PlayMemorize Polymath

Polymath is the cross-game streak version of the PlayMemorize catalogue. Hit Start and the game picks a random round from the rest of the site — a math sum, a geography capital, an odd-one-out, a chess mate in one, a missing digit of pi — one after another, until you miss once. Your longest streak is saved locally.

Full spectrum. Polymath draws from every PlayMemorize game, so a single run might hit arithmetic, vocabulary, chess, Sudoku, flag-a-mine, and digits of pi in back-to-back rounds. If you want a narrower pool focused on a specific skill, try the themed variants · Math, Knowledge, Memory, or Reasoning.

Deterministic. Like the rest of PlayMemorize, every round is generated from a small seed. Same seed + difficulty means the same round stream, which makes the game reproducible and cheat-proof.

Labyrinth excluded. The labyrinth is itself a host that wraps these games in a maze with fog of war. Polymath skips the maze and gives you the challenges directly, one after another, as fast as you can solve them.

Part of the PlayMemorize family of free brain-training games. Runs entirely in your browser, works offline as a Progressive Web App.

Q: What is Polymath?

Polymath is a streak game that pulls random rounds from every other PlayMemorize game. Hit Start and play round after round until you miss one. Your longest streak is stored in your browser.

Q: How is it different from the Labyrinth?

The Labyrinth wraps each challenge in a 12x12 fog-of-war maze with a quest-giver, a lost item and a roadblock. Polymath drops all of that and gives you the challenges directly, back to back, so every round is pure game time.

Q: Which games can appear?

Every game registered in the PlayMemorize module system, except the Labyrinth itself. That currently covers pi, memory, geography, color, ghost, polyglot, math, converter, crazy comparisons, sequences, matrix, odd-one-out, spatial, analogies, stroop, facts, define, backwards, illusions, riddles, chess mate, sudoku force, flag a mine, and mastermind deduce.

Q: Is there a way to narrow the pool?

Yes. PlayMemorize ships four themed Polymath variants — Math, Knowledge, Memory, and Reasoning — that each restrict the round pool to a hand-picked subset of games. They all live alongside the full Polymath in the Polymath section on the home page.

Q: Does my high streak sync across variants?

No, each variant has its own high streak so you can build a separate best score in math, knowledge, memory and reasoning. That makes it clearer where your weak spots are.

Q: Is Polymath free?

Yes, completely free. No account, no ads, no paywalls. Your high streak is stored locally in your browser and Polymath works offline as part of the PlayMemorize Progressive Web App.
