About PlayMemorize Solve for x
Solve for x is algebra the way it should be learned: not by guessing the final answer, but by working the balance. An equation sits on a level scale · the unknown x on one side, numbers on both. You choose an operation (+, −, ×, ÷ with a number) and the game applies it to BOTH sides at the same time, then shows the new, simplified equation as the next step. Repeat until x stands alone.
Wrong moves are legal · and that is the lesson. Divide too early and fractions appear on both pans; add when you should subtract and the numbers grow. The balance stays level either way, because equality survives any same-both-sides operation · that is the balance rule. Undo takes you back a step, and the reveal replays the minimal path so you can compare routes.
