About Molecule Road
Molecule Road is a tiny chemistry route-planner. You are shown a starting material and a visible target, and you plan the path between them · choosing one real, curated transformation at a time from the moves actually available to the molecule you hold. Each step reveals the product it makes, a one-sentence explanation, the reaction type, and an honest note on conditions and safety, and the round ends with a concise recap of the route you took.
Every move is real. The choices at each step are the genuine transformations of the molecule in your hand · nothing impossible, nothing invented. Only some of them lead toward the target, so the game is about sequencing real chemistry, not guessing. Every route is checked to be solvable before it is offered.
One graph, two games. Molecule Road shares its curated, sourced, mass-balanced reaction graph with Molecule Mash: water electrolysis, burning hydrogen or carbon, iron rusting, photosynthesis, respiration, baking soda meeting vinegar, and the melting, freezing and boiling of water. Where Mash asks what a reaction makes, Road asks you to plan a path to a goal.

FAQ

What is Molecule Road?
Molecule Road is a curated chemistry planning game: you are shown a starting material and a target, and you pick one real transformation at a time until you reach the target. Each step reveals the product, an explanation, the reaction type, and a safety note, and the round ends with a route recap. -
How is it different from Molecule Mash?
They share the same curated reaction graph. Molecule Mash walks a short branch and asks which product a reaction makes. Molecule Road shows a start and a visible target and asks you to plan the path between them, choosing the moves that lead to the goal. -
Are the reactions real?
Yes. Every transformation offered is a familiar, textbook-accurate change with a checkable source, a declared simplification level, and a mass-balanced equation. The moves you can pick are always the genuine transformations of the molecule you hold. -
Is every puzzle solvable?
Always. Each target is mined by searching the reaction graph from the starting material, so a valid path is guaranteed to exist before the round is offered, and the game stores one known solution to recap at the end. -
Is it available in other languages?
The interface is available in all 25 PlayMemorize languages. Chemical formulas and canonical compound names stay language-neutral, as they are worldwide.
