About PlayMemorize Science Blanks
Science Blanks is a cloze "fill the gap" streak game about science and nature. A science fact appears with one key word blanked out · for example An octopus has _____ hearts (three) · and you pick the correct word from a short list. Get it right and the next one appears; miss once and the streak ends.
One word at a time. Each round blanks a number, element, or process. The longer your streak, the deeper into the pool the game reaches, so the prompts keep getting fresher and a little harder.
Part of the Completion family. Science Blanks shares its round engine with the other "fill the generated text" games on PlayMemorize · Recipe, History, Science, Geography, Quote, Movie, and Sports Blanks · so they all play and print the same way.
All 25 languages. Every prompt and answer choice is translated into the full PlayMemorize locale set, and the game prints to a paper worksheet with a matching answer key.
Part of the PlayMemorize family of brain-training games. Runs entirely in your browser and works offline as a Progressive Web App.
FAQ
-
What is Science Blanks?
A cloze "fill the gap" streak game about science and nature. A science fact is shown with one word blanked out; you choose the correct word from a short list. One wrong answer ends the streak. -
What gets blanked out?
One key word per round · usually a number, element, or process. The rest of the sentence stays visible so you always have context to reason from. -
Does the difficulty change?
Yes. Higher difficulty offers more answer choices (three, four, then five), and a longer streak widens the pool of items the round can draw from, so you see more of the catalogue the better you do. -
Is it available in my language?
Yes · all 25 PlayMemorize languages are supported. Every prompt and answer choice is translated for each locale. -
Can I use it on paper?
Yes. Science Blanks exports to a printable worksheet with a multiple-choice layout and an answer key, so teachers and parents can use it offline.
