About NATO Phonetic Alphabet
The NATO Phonetic Alphabet (also known as the ICAO spelling alphabet) is the most widely used radiotelephony spelling alphabet. It assigns 26 code words to the letters of the English alphabet (A to Z) to prevent confusion during voice transmission.
Memory Tip: To accelerate your spelling recall, visualize the phonetic words as vivid, interactive scenes. For example, picture a pilot wearing a Bravo badge eating a giant Charlie chocolate bar while dancing the Tango.
This game scales with your skill across three tiers. Easy mode asks you to identify the word for a given letter. Medium mode introduces mixed directions and more of the alphabet, and Hard mode challenges you to identify the letter for a given code word with phonetic near-miss distractors and tight timings.
